So, just as I suspected, Patrick Dempsey's totally overrated...I mean, he seems like a nice guy and all but I seriously just don't get the attraction.  Anyways, the shoot was really fun cuz it was suppose to be a Halloween party and I LOVE Halloween =)  We got dressed up and made up and our hair did LOL  Patrick was in a Bill Clinton costume (suppose to be 1997) and there were some girls at the party that dressed up as Monica Lewinskys (w/ cum stains on their dresses, classy I know...).  I got some decent OT and way too much candy but the best part of my day was before I got to set.  I went to Sande Alessi's before my call time so I can register (thanx for da hot tip Richard!).  Central's been super slow so I thought might as well cast a wider net.  SA handles Entourage and Greek and it's a small firm so I got to talk to the CDs, which is way awesome.  Mike, the assistant CD on Greek got my info down after the registration and told me he'd let me know about Greek if anything came up.  And sure enough, he calls me personally on Monday and I got a 3 day call on Greek!  It's definitely one of the most amazing shows I've worked on yet, nothing compared to House or Heroes but different...  It was also a cable show (w/ the first 4 episodes on network) so things r a bit different.  I really got to know the crew pretty well, especially the 2nd 2nd, Stacy (she does give out the SAG vouchers so she's the most important person to me anyways...).  On my 2nd day I met a girl named Jamie Chung, she was a co-star for the day and she's seriously the prettiest Korean girl I've ever seen...  She's apparently known for her time on Real World SD, which I didn't watch so I didn't know who she was.  She was super cool and so is the rest of the cast, probably cuz they're not super famous yet (but the show's gonna totally take off for sure!), except for Spencer Grammar (Kelsey Grammar's daughter) who is basically only famous for having a famous dad...

Friday I had my second interview at Pacific Palms and I think it went pretty well but now I'm not sure I want to do it full-time.  I want to leave a 3 day availability to do extra work (at least until Greek is done shooting) and I donno if that's gonna fly w/ them so I guess we'll c.  I'd love to work 4 days at PP and 3 days on Greek (on a regular basis...could happen) and just work everyday so I can make $$$ for traveling.  Well, one step at a time, I guess.  I do have another call on Greek on Monday and I know for sure I'm getting a SAG voucher (Mike is amazing), woohoo!  I'm not gonna hold my breath for da other 2 but who knows?  If I get 'em I'll probably just stick w/ the extras thing, union is very good money for doing nothing all day and eating free food...

Saturday I had dinner w/ Aileen and the gang and we went KTV after (haven't done that in forever!), which was super fun.  Then Sunday I just watched Kyle XY marathon and worked on some puzzles, I'm totally addicted...  Anyways, I'm kinda excited about tomorrow, can't wait to get a real SAG voucher and to hear back from PP.  Richard is just gonna die!  He's a regular and hasn't even gotten a voucher yet (but I'm sure he's gonna) and we'll probably get to work together once he gets back from FL.  I should also be hearing from Team Denmark this week but hopefully I'll have time to hang out...

The biggest news of all this week actually is that the Ducks totally kicked Senator booties!  It was a bittersweet victory as the Ducks won w/o Paul Kariya but it's still worth celebrating =)  I feel bad for Canada though, if it wasn't da Ducks I would totally root for the Canadian team (as I did the past 2 SCs but they lost those too...to freakin' Florida and N. Carolina!).  Guess the number 13 is lucky after all (14th year overall minus strike).

So, after finishing all of my tapes I really didn't have much to do...  Naturally, I went and got a bunch of DVDs, 12 to b exact and now I'm up to almost 150 movies!  I've watched all of them and now I've started on my pix uploading project which has just taken on a life of its own.  Since I've slacked off on all of my other trips, I'm working w/ 3 years worth of pix!  But I wanted to do something productive and make $$$ so I started calling the lines again and even though it's slow I got something for tonight.  It's a filmed called Made of Honor starring Patrick Dempsey and hopefully it'll turn into a 3 day shoot.  In other news, I found out Robin's gay (he wasn't so gay a few summers ago...I feel like Grace now, I've turned one!) and I'm gonna b goin' to London later this year (fingers crossed)!  I also caught up w/ Richard today and he's now a regular extra on Greek (a new ABC show) and it looks like a promising series (more so than Hidden Palms and Gossip Girl that is), go Richard!

It's so weird, I feel like my life's in limbo or something.  I mean, it's nice to do nothing for a couple of days and just relax and catch up on my tapes but it's scary cuz I should b doing something.  I miss traveling, especially in Oz.  I'd developed a sort of "no worries" attitude while I was away and well, it doesn't really jive w/ LA...sigh.  I still have no idea what I want to do other than JET and I hope nothing happens in the next 12 months to change my mind cuz I'm pretty much planning my whole life around that right now.  It's super hard to find something I would like to do for only a few months (about 8?), other than being an extra (mom wouldn't like that...).  Whatever I find, I hope I can take some time off to go to jolly ol' England for a few weeks (the parents r heading over in July and I would like to tag along but most of da peeps I wanna visit will still b traveling, poopies).  So, do I go to Hawai'i for the summer and then spend 4 months working in Melbourne?  I can do one or the other or both or neither.  Too many options can sometimes b overwhelming =(  I guess I can just spend some time planning my next trip, that always seems to serve as a good distraction.  But mom wants to travel w/ me for parts of it and I'm not sure how to plan a non-backpacking trip.  I mean, it wasn't so bad going to Japan & Taiwan w/ her (can't really complain about staying at posh hotels and eating gourmet meals) but I like traveling on my own...  Oh well, one can have worse problems.  Man, this is what b-days (especially ones over 25?) do to ya...

On a lighter note, apparently, in the last month there have been several multi-million dollar raids in SGV for pot houses.  Our little RH and DB have been all over da news, kinda puts us on da map...awwwwwww...

Friday I went to dinner w/ Emily, Mishy, Irene, Peggy, Wendy and Mark for my b-day and it was good seeing everyone.  I think it's cool to have friends that u can not c for so long and have everything kinda pick up like u never left =)  After dinner we had a tea session and I was able to do a bit of show and tell w/ pix from my trip.  It was nice to relive some of those memories although it definitely also brought on some feelings of sadness.  During our conversation I mentioned it would b nice to live in da UK and work but it's super hard for Americans to get work visas (guess we're not well liked) and I doubt I'll get sponsored by any company there...  When I got home I got bored and looked up visa stuff online.  I already knew a lot of info but something made me look into it anyways and I'm glad I decided to do so.  I clicked on the link for the ancestry visa (that's what Justin wanted to do but couldn't cuz u need a grandparent that's UK born and he's one generation off) even though I totally wouldn't qualify cuz Larry's not legally my dad.  I kept thinking to myself: it sux I can't b adopted cuz I'm over 18...  Then I realized, y not?  I'd never thought about it b4 but there must b instances when it could happen, right?  And sure enough, adult adoption is definitely legal in CA and it's actually easier to file precisely because I am an adult.  I CANNOT believe I never looked into this b4!  What an idiot I am!  So, now all my energy's focused on making this happen (not so easy to deal w/ paperwork and court hearing when a petitioner lives half way around the world but I'm not gonna let that stop me...) so I can eventually apply for that ancestry visa when I'm done w/ Japan.  I get so excited just thinking about it, being able to work in the UK and therefore able to work pretty much anywhere I want in Europe.  It's wicked awesome and would b my dream come true.  What's funny is Cos actually messaged me on Facebook today (and sent me some cyber undies for my b-day, what a sweet guy...sarcasm really doesn't translate well online...) and told me I should go to London and learn to speak English properly (if I did, I'd make daddy proud).  Who knows, maybe one day I will =)

Today I had dim sum for lunch and then went to watch Shrek the Third w/ Aileen and we had Beard Papa cream puffs so it was a very good day.

Wow, it's definitely weird to b home again.  Back to reality =(  My last few days in Melbourne were pretty good. On Saturday I took the free city circle tram and tourist bus and saw most of Melbourne and then went to the Saloon Pub at the George hotel in St. Kilda and saw the Clip Clop Club w/ all da Adventure Tour peeps.  Then we went bar hopping and I actually had a few drinks (I figured it was the end of my trip and all...).  Sunday I woke up pretty late and Anthony (my roomie) and I decided to go and catch a Footy match.  It was at Telstra dome which I had not been to yet (I went to a match at MCG before w/ Justin) and it was the Melbourne Demons agains Western Bulldogs.  My first game was Melbourne against Fremantle and Melbourne lost that game and this one too, they suck.  After the game I went to Bread Top, a bakery I discoverd (I'd been to one in Sydney as well) that was just like xiao-ya-wu and got yummy bread for breakfast next morning.  Then got back to the hostel and had the free dinner (it was the first night I got to have it in 5 nights...) and then went to the cinema lounge which was actually really awesome and we saw hide and seek and LOTR 2.  The next morning I went to the airport and found out my flight had been delayed for 4 1/2 hours due to weather conditions in Sydney...but because we would be on a different plane and would only fly for 13 hours instead of 16, the delay on the LA side was only 1 1/2 hours.

When I got back, my mom wanted me to drive home and it was weird driving for the first time after 3 months and on the right side of the road again cuz I'd just started to get used to the wrong side...  I started to unpack when I got back and did 3 loads of laundry and we went to dinner at In-n-Out.  The next day my mom and I went to Paul Mitchell's hair school and I got my hair trimmed and she got a color touch-up.  Then I started on my tapes and my there are quite a few of them...  Today I woke up kinda late again and didn't do much for most of the day except make lunch and went grocery shopping w/ mom.  Then Aileen called and asked if I wanted to go to D&B's and I gladly accepted the invitation.  When we got there, we ended up getting some cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory first and then went in to D&B's.  We played many games and won many tickets and traded them for some Care Bear dolls and candy, hee.  Then I got home and went Facebook crazy.  Most of the ppl I met on the trip had Facebook instead of MySpace so I decided to look for them so I can keep in touch.  I can already tell I'm gonna get addicted to Facebook like I did w/ MySpace.  Well, I guess I got nothing but time in the next few days (possibly weeks...) so why not?

Forgive me Xanga, for it has been almost 3 weeks since my last update.

So much has happened, I donno where to start...  My outback trip was definitely wicked but it took a bit of adjusting to cuz I am a city girl after all.  We started w/ a loop around Darwin and went to Kakadu, Katherine and Litchfield.  We hiked everyday and got to swim pretty much at the end of every hike so it was good (I didn't enjoy the swims as much as I could've - girl problem...).  The company that did the tour was Adventure Tours and our first day was just that.  A Kite flew into our bus and smashed the windshield!  We went back to scrape it off the road and move it to the side but it was still alive!  We wrapped it in a towel and I got to be the keeper of the Kite and held it while it slowly faded away...  I freaked out when it threw up and Dingo (Dean) our tourguide took over the care duties and it died in his arms (it was a solemn day).  The tour was very different from my Contikis (except maybe the budget one in Europe), we had to cook our own meals (ingredients provided) and clean up too.  We also stayed at pretty crap accommodations (although in the outback most accommodations were pretty crap unless you're loaded...).

The first couple of days were the worst of course cuz we were still getting used to the camps (the showers and toilets that you had to hike to get to were filled w/ bugs and there were even little frogs in the showers and one hopped into my hair while I was showering so not super great start).  We were all covered in mozzie bites after a couple of days despite our very conscious efforts to apply bug spray (and yes, even sleep w/ them on, ick).  When we got back to Darwin, I'd gotten pretty tight w/ a Japanese girl (Miwa), a German girl (Steph) and an Austrian girl (Viktoria) so we asked to be roomed together and they didn't have any more 4-bed dorms so they upgraded us to a posh hotel room instead and it was wicked!  We were very happy =)  We went to the wharf and walked around the market then headed back to our comfy room but stayed up talking til the wee hours of almost 4 and we had to b up at 5:30...

The next 3 days took us down to Alice Springs and it was a bit better conditions (less hot and less mozzies).  But as the mozzies went, the flies came and although they didn't bite, they were probably more annoying cuz they really get in ur face and most ppl got fly nets to wear while hiking.  The hikes got a bit tougher but we were a pretty fit group so it was all good =)  We stayed in Alice for 3 days and it was a nice break to stay at a hostel (even a crap one...) and not have to pack and unpack or get up at 5 in the morning...  There's a cool reptile center and we got to hold different lizards and a snake (my second time this trip).  Then we did a tour of the RFDS (Royal Flying Doctors Services) museum and it was awesome.  Props to those involved and to John Flynn for starting it.  We climbed ANZAC hill and that was about it for Alice.

From Alice to Adelaide I was w/o my posse and I only knew a couple ppl from our original group (these are segmented tours so ppl come and go).  It was me and 4 Poms and I started hanging w/ them a bit more (especially George and Cos, crazy guys...).  After 2 days 10 out of 24 ppl left and we got to spread out on the bus, it was awesome.  We also got a lot closer as a group and I started to hang out w/ Team Scandanavia (sometimes known separately as Team Denmark and Team Sweden).  We spent one night at Coober Pedy where 70% of the population lived underground in dugouts.  We stayed in an underground bunker and it was really fun =)  The next night we stayed in Parachilna where the population was 5 (yes, u can count it on one hand...) and the most exciting thing was a really long train (the longest in the world) that went by every night at 9P...and the nearest town had a population of 22.  Craziness.

When we got to Adelaide it was nice cuz there was more than one street LOL  From there I took a 10 hour Greyhound bus ride to Melbourne (and slept for about 4 of those hours tops) and got in at about 6:30AM.  I got to my hostel but couldn't check in so I put my shit in storage and got a keycard so I can go shower.  The clerk on duty took me to brekkie and wouldn't let me pay cuz I was a backpacker...do I really look that pathetic?  Who cares, I ain't gonna turn down a free meal...  He talked my ears off and I got back to the hostel just b4 my tour picked up (at 11AM...so I've been up for many many hours now...).  The Philip Island Tour/Penguin Parade lasted til about 10:30PM so I just crashed when I got back.  I pushed my Great Ocean Road tour back til Friday cuz I really needed to sleep in and I was meeting Justin for dinner and the tour would've come back quite late.  So, I did almost nothing on Thursday except change my flt cuz I wanted to stay the weekend and do stuff w/ the group (they were all coming in on Friday cuz their tour was a bit longer).  Cuz I was using my stupid miles I didn't have too much choice and it was either the 15th or the 23rd.  I kinda wanted to stay for my b-day so I booked the 23rd.  Alan offered to put me up for a few days and find stuff for me to do at the bar for some cash so it was all good...until my mom found out that is and had a hissy fit.  She got mad I was extending my stay so long (guess she really misses me?) so to appease her I changed my flt again to the 14th.  It wasn't until after I realized I should go back cuz all my tapes are timed til the 12th and I would b royally screwed if I came back the 23rd...

Today I did the Great Ocean Road tour and it was wicked.  I thought Melbourne was awesome but Geelong was cool too and all the little towns along the coast are even better.  I LOVED Torquay, where Rip Curl and Quicksilver/Roxy got started (also named after Torquay in Cornwall where my dad came from).  The scenery was amazing and I can totally picture myself living there (and my parents too, I think they'd like the area).  The 12 Apostles were good and we finally got back around 10:30PM.  Anyways, tomorrow I meet up w/ everyone for a concert thingy and Sunday I'm gonna try and catch another Footy game b4 I take off.  Hmm...guess it didn't take as long to update as I thought it would =)
